Pearls@TRIS (Teacher Empowerment Programme)

Pearls@TRIS a brainchild of our CEO Mr. Kuriakose, is a monthly enrichment programme for teachers.. Besides being encouraged to attend online courses, teachers are provided with wonderful opportunity to attend the regular interactive session led by eminent scholars. The main objective of the programme is to empower teachers to reinforce and identify the challenges involved in teaching-learning activities of 21 st century

Year 2021

	Dr. Babu John, Former lecturer, university of Gloucester, U K, spoke on Self Development and verbal communication at Pearls@Tris on January 5, 2021. The speaker asserted that proper verbal communication would enhance the horizon of our social life and strengthen our personality
	Pearls@TrisFebruary edition was held on February 27, 2021 Dr Andrew Pappachan, Chief Engineer, Director of Public Works in Newark, U S, was the Guest Speaker. He made a comparative study of American and Indian School boards.
	Pearls@Tris July Edition was held on July 10, 2021. Ms Latha Prakash, a national awardee Principal and famous CBSE Trainer was the resource person. She spoke on Competency based teaching.
	Pearls@Tris August Edition was led by Ms Anitha Nair, a Fullbright scholar on Aug.7. The topic was ‘Why are appams fluffy?’ She threw light on the importance of making the children curious about the subject they learn.
	Dr Ruble Raj, a retired principale, motivation speaker and eminent educationist, led the Pearls@Tris September Edition on Sept.18, 2021. He spoke on Teacher effectiveness. His vast experience as the principal of a renowned college was reflected in the session.
	‘Once a Teacher, Not Always a Teacher’ was the topic for the Pearls@Tris October Edition conducted on Oct. 30, 2021.DrRajeevan Karal, former professor at CIEFL and former Senior Vice President of Cambridge Press, was the Guest Speaker.

Year 2020

	Dr. PrabhasAravind, a consultant psychiatrist from Ottapalam, Palakkad led the Pearls@Tris conducted on 28th Nov. 2020 He authentically addressed the constraints and challenges of the teachers during the pandemic.He suggested a few practical steps to overcome the present-day crisis, especially in handling the online classes.
	Pearls@Tris December Edition was held on December 8, 2020. The session was led by Mr. DharmendraVerma, (B.Tech(IIT Karagpur) MCA ( Texas USA) MBA (Chicago USA), Founder of Prepbuddies, an Online learning management system for faculty and students. How to work more comfortably with online classes during this pandemic era was the focal point of the session.
